Photography Courses

Taking Better Photographs

This course looks at what makes a good photograph. This is a subjective area. There are no strict rules, but there are some well established places to start.

The day will look at the top 10 ‘Rules of Composition’, and will look at how these can be applied to some of the most popular subject areas of photography. The work of well known photographers will be examined and practical exercises will be held in the Walled Garden to put theory into practice. There will be plenty of time to question, discuss and share opinions.

The structure of the day will be broadly as follows. There might some changes depending on weather and the areas of interest of the course members.
